yes I know it has been a while, and gosh I can't thank you enough for your lovely emails, I know I've been missed...NOT, ama emails, no love mail, no hate mail, just big fat zero...lol but I know I am in your thoughts wondering how's da pregnancy going and all that crap! rightttt!!! well, I am ready to give birth...I think Mariam is old enough now, 7 months, perfect, great age to start dealing with everyday stuff.....besides, they say kids mta3 7 months come out super brilliant, so I am totally relying on that, cuz her mama and papa are no brillianto!
well, alhamduliallah I am doing great health wise, my doc said I should "nbakher rohi" so I don't get da devil eye, ... I am looking forward me and DaStars' trip to Doha next weekend inshallah, he's got a meeting and I am going to be glluuuueeddd to him, I enjoyed my trip to Abu Dhabi in March, I'll post pics inshallah....hummm wat else, dat's pretty much it, I try to keep busy, I am reading a lovely book, I don't want to be busted mentioning da name here...dat's pretty much it

nothing lasts forever; we all either make decisions or things just turn out that way...
Today March 31st 2008 is my last day at ConocoPhillips; I still remember my first day Feb 1st 2005 as if it was yesterday. I experienced the ups and downs of the company, I met and worked with great people, and some aren't so great...lol I watched it grow from 10 people to 30....well, that being said, I submitted my resignation two weeks ago cuz I am getting very pregnant and working is not a priority for me at this stage. I will for sure miss few things about it, and yes few things not everything...lol

Yayyy bloggers meet again...I LOVE IT... well, I just want to share with you that the Lovely Lebeeya is still kicking, cuz honestly I thought she was kidnapped or something....so, she called on Tuesday to say she is town, came to pay us a lovely visit yesterday, oh that gurl is a total sweetheart. Of course me and Romana work together now, same company different s***, I mean different jobs; so lebeeya sends us a lovely sms yesterday morning saying "don't eat breakfast, I am making u sandwiches; P.S. I don't match, it won't be hard to find me in da parking lot" typcial Lebeeya of course....so she showed up at 11:00 am and for me that was not breakfast cuz lunch is an hour away....and here comes Lebeeya looking fabulous with her lunch bag containing (Chicken tandori sandwiches DELICIOUS, sliced tomato, chips and pretzels....and she didn't forget the juice) oh, I almost cried of happiness...lol cuz I was starvvvinggg, yah that's another new thing, I think pregnancy is turning me to a hungry monster, I have to snack every hour!!! I didn't turn into a whale yet alhamduliallah. sooooo, we ate, chatted laughed, looked at my wedding pics..lol lovely an hour and half.
So thank you Lebeeya for being you, we sure love you
and she thinks I am having a boy...lol she is some sort of look at ur belly and tell da gender kinda gurl

I heard so many stories about Jraba Street after da final decision of taking da stores down....and I have mixed views about it, but all I am going to say is, DON'T GO NEAR IT, traffic is so unbelievable, you would think that they will have it under control, but no no no god forbids anything being under control in situations like this!!! anyhoo, I couldn't take more pics, I was just crossing from one side to da other to go to my grandma's yesterday eve, so here is 1% of Jraba Street.

well, it seems da title gave away da mood I am in, yes very gloomy, why? mesh 3arfa why.... is it because after 3 years of having 8:30 to 5, 6 days a week job and now I don't? is it because I am in a stage where I don't know what da heck I am going to do with so much freaking free time? I mean, it's was great until, I got stuck in this big boring circle, ok, first of all, I never quit my company, so "they are working on bringing me back as a part-timer" so that makes me not knowing what to do... I got two job offers that I turned down "willingly" because I don't want to commit to anyone as for right now cuz me and DaStars are planning or new year getaway, so whoever hires me won't be happy to give me that early vacation which is going to be in a month!....so I try to keep busy, ...I wonder, where is all my friends??? was I that busy in da past three years that I am out of da social loop? I mean I have so many close friends, but why don't I keep in touch with them? why don't I visit them or they visit me? am I that boring? the only thing I want to do is hangout with DaStars I mean he is my best friend, he makes me laugh all the time, his care and company is indescribable, so during da weekends we try to do as much as possible....during da weekdays, I am bored out of my head until he gets back from work...my phone never rings, and oh I have 2 phones now, Madar and Libyana, and no one calls me, simply because I don't call them, I am such a loser....
my finances are so screwed up back in Canada, I have false charges on my visa that I ignored for ages and now they are back to bite me hard, I mean it's not like I ever used that money, but the visa company wants me to pay it....I have student loan that need to be paid, ok, I am jobless how am I supposed to pay it?....can I just send them a letter saying that I was hit by a cow?? for them to forget about me?
I've never been this moody in my life, I am going through a roller coaster, I have pimples all over my face, they'r hideous, I am soooo emotional it's like PMS 24/7 .... I had a haircut that looks cute, but for god's sake I can't even blow dry my own hair, I have 12 year old cousin that know how to blow dry her mom's hair, why can't I do it, if it's that easy?
well, I kinda need to get my priorities in order, 1) deal with da financial problems, 2)look forward to da new year trip, 3) get a job or .... a baby!!!!

Third day of Eid

Eid Mubarak everyone, kul sana o intu taibeen, hope everyone enjoyed their eid...cuz mine was alhamduliallah great, was different of course...but got to see family from both sides and mashallah everyone is doing and looking fine...first day of Eid was to DaStars side of da family, we had lunch over at his uncle's house cuz my in-laws still in Umra, and mashallah they'r such a hugeeee familyyyy...lol I honestly need to write down da names or have a family tree with pics for me to memorize every single person, then second day, we had lunch at my grandma, stayed da whole day there, which was ok too, for some reason days same much longer than Ramadan, dunno why, maybe cuz I was so busy preparing da food and looking forward to Maghrib time! then today we had a drive around, da weather was so nasty during da day, we went to check out the beach house in Garabolli, we drove all da way there and didn't stay for 10 mintues, then drove back...stopped by da 7ufra fish place "da hole" and had lunch there, mm'mmm fishhhh, our shrimps weren't cooked properly, da dude burnt da crap out of them, they turned out crispy and a bit dry! but still taste good, then we lazied off at his parents house in hay andalous I napped for about 2 hours which is why I am still up till now.....gosh I am so boring...lol sorry guyz, but I wish there is something more exciting to share with u, but there isn't...:( I need to get more active, DaStars promised we play tennis, he said he'll teach me....but god knows when! it better be soon, also I don't know when I am going back to work....am I turning into a boring monster? wat has gotten into me!..lol yallah take care everyone and Eid mubarak to u all :o)

.... not sure if there is a reason why I am not blogging as much! is it cuz there isn't much to say? or am I being a lazy bum! or maybe it's both! well, nothing much going on, still didn't get sick of da kitchen, I am in fact enjoying it :o) I made Libyan soup, garlic bread and lasagna, of course salad on da side....and I had over my sister-in-law and her husband, mashallah dat guy EATS...lol we alwayz make fun of him "hungry hungry hippo" .... Ramadan is almost over, and ppl getting crazierrrr, I wish I can video tape da action that's going on da streets at nite and youtube it for all those who live abroad....seriously, way too crazy, same story same ramadan, same jraba street, gurlz looking booty, guyz with spiky hair cruising around traffic is unreal, cops not knowing who to stop and who to let pass, pissed off fathers, hideous clothing in general, u get da picture....
and yah, wat's up with mosques aren't allowed to have tajahud prayers? I hope I don't get shot for saying that!..lol I just heard today, hummm, makes my lil mind wonder

it's da 14th day of Ramadan already!!!, subhana Allah how fast time goes by when you are busy....DaStars and I were totally pampered during da first week of Ramadan, da in laws were still in town, so I personally ate da yummiest food, so my mom in law was cooking and won't let me or my sis in law, who got married a month before us do a thing, only help around da kitchen, which was absolutely cool by me, ....then after da in laws traveled, I've been on my own, I mean it's not like I mind cooking or anything, I do love cooking and I enjoy it too, ... we've been invited out alot at DaStar's uncle's and da food is MM "MMM and I had my sis in law over for iftar twice, my dad once, DaStars's boss once and tonite my cousin is coming over, so I try to iksib ajer fehum, hehehe
everything else is going great wa alhamduliallah, oh except for our screaming neighbours!! let me share with you what's going on next door....da husband, from wat i gathered is a lazy bum and very greedy, he does nothing and gives attitude.....da wife, da most loud thing I've ever heard, she is da naggy type, complainy and yells at her husband....I mean I hate being so judgemental, but com'on so far they've been fighting every other day, I am beginning to get tarified, is this wat marriage life is like? I ask myself how long they've been married, they were this way since the beginning or they were all lovey dovy then when da kid popped made life like this? or it's just that they'r one of those odd couples that fight about everything, or is it da love hate relationship....or it's normal to be that way, from where I see it, I will never ever have a marriage life like this and god is willing it won't happen....
I am thinking they should see a marriage counselor if there is such thing in Libya, but it's not healthy at all to be living like this especially when da husband says "krahit el3isha m3ak", that's like a no no for me.....
anywayz, sorry to go on and inshallah rabe ehdina

hellooooo dear bloggers,
LONG TIME NO SEE!!!!! oh gosh, been DISCONNECTEDDDD, and I hate it!!!! I've been on a crazy roller coaster since we got back from da honeymoon....starting from settling down in our new place, to my mom leaving to Canada, after 10 months vacation...lol and da poor thing got into a tiny car crash alhamduliallah jat salaima, da only thing that was damaged is my poor khnifisa :'( tear drop, da front bumper is damaged and it's being fixed at this moment...then Ramadan came too soon mashallah!!! inshallah ramadan kareem to all of you....then my father-in-law got hit by a car crossing da road the poor thing! haram! nothing is too serious, fraction on his knee and ribs :(
on top of that our landlord never gave us da user name and password for the Internet, and we've been chasing him since we got back, I am sure u get da picture.....ohhh speaking of pictures, wallahi I want to post da most amazing pics for u guyz, inshallah once we get da net at home i'll do that....other than that life is great alhamduliallah, couldn't be better, I totally adore DaStars, he can get annoying when he wants to, "on purpose" just to annoy me, but other than that, he's a total sweetheart, alhamduliallah life has a totally different meaning being in Harmony .... and his family is great mashallah,

I've been on and off da net, very limited access, and oh I took sooo many pics for u guyz, DaStars keeps on goes, gosh U LOVE taking pic's don't u!!!, I simply answer "it's for my blog"...lol well anywayz, after spending lovely times here in Langkawi Island, we r off to Singapore today inshallah, we stop in Kuala Lumpur for an hour then catch another flight, so I can't wait for that part....:o) Langkawi is very pretty mashallah, and as some of you might know, it's monsoon season, so rain rain rain...."rain on me" we stayed in 2 different resorts, one in the south and one in the north, just to experince different flavours, and both places are so pretty mashallah, I'll be posting pics when we go back inshallah....
so anywayz, I think I gained weight :( well, I am sure I did, maybe 2 kilos, or 3 Allahu a3lam, ...DaStars for sure gained alot of weight, and he's determined to lose it in Ramadan inshallah, cuz if he doesn't "I'll make him"...lol

hello everyone, it's been a while...
I feel good sleeping in and being lazy .... life is good hummm....sorta
last week/da beggining of this week was very crazy for me, trying to sort out my desk to hand it over to da new smart gurl we hired and train her, which wasn't bad at all, also we had VIPs at work visiting so I had to work on getting meetings. .. da worst thing was cleaning my messy desk and sorting da files on my pc. anywayz, now it's over alhamduliallah I have other things to get done, finishing off da appartment and moving our clothes and making da place livable....da place is so cute I am in love with it, so inshallah things will be just fine...
I know I ll be missing work, and da peeps there, my boss, my ayosh and everyone there, well, not everyone everyone....but u get da pic...lol inshallah i'll be going back after 3 months ....
now, i'll go back to babysitting meralo and make sure i do nothing...lol i looove being lazy

I would like to start by saying "Never say Never"...lol so funny not long ago on one of the comments we were talking about "fat7a, should be in the wedding week" and mani was like NO WAY, and there was this big debate....and in my family fat7a is normally during the wedding week, not until I had my fat7a yesterday...lol a month before the wedding! so DaMoon is now officially Mrs. DaStars, first time I was ok to go out me and him ALONE...lol for dinner and I loved the place "Dandachi" it's not so new restaurant but I've never been to it before, then we picked up ice cream from the best place in Tripoli "Al Shat ice cream" the whole time we were out, I am like I can't believe this...lol mtan7a ya3ni like wow I am sitting in the passenger seat....to tell you the truth "I felt like I was a not "very good girl" riding in the car with him"...lol but then I am like oh nooo, I am safe..lol enough boring you with these stories....I just wanted to share with you one of the most important events in DaMoon's life.

OK, I have a reason to bitch about the worst airlines in Tripoli and what they think they are providing, because I would NOT call it service AT ALL....
Let's not mention Alitalia; because they are closing down "Alhamduliallah" Thank Goodness because honestly they were the worst out of all, you call in the numbers they have advertised everywhere NO ONE picks up! you walk in the office you get a grumpy old man telling u to take a number and sit ur a** down for the next 3 hours and MAYBE you get called in....well, at least they are better than Emirates not having A SIGN or a freaking old man to tell you to take a number, they should hire an old man, the Emirates's tickets machine is actually sitting on one of da tables on the waiting area, so you have to be Dorra the Explorer and find it yourself to get yourself a freaking number...the second question comes in mind, HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I AM NEXT, normally they'd have an electronic screen that shows which number is next, but no no no, that's way toooo advance for Emirates Airlines to have up, they actually keep yelling at each other "menno elli ba3da" who's next, so if you are an old person, they are most likely going to miss you, that's what I've witnessed today, an older man was sitting down with number 1 on his hand and they'r already helping the guy with number 5!!!!!!!!!!!
that brings me to the third observation I made at the Emirates today....there were 9 agents, ONLY 3 were doing real work!!!! ok! let me take you back why I went there to start with...is because I've been calling them for 2 days and NO ONE is answering me, so they'r competing with Alitalia on that one I believe....this morning a lady answered and she said let me put you through our phone department "they specialize on answering phones" I wonder how many ppl working there, so I had to go in person and the chaos started.....so out of the 9 agents only 3 doing real work, and the other 6 are just hanging out pretending busy "my favourite was the one I named him "elhdraz"" mashallah you can see all of his teeth and ehadriz m3a hada o hadika o shadha loggni....so to make the story short, I was really PISSED, why? because the people working there looked clueless to me, looked very distracting very incompetent, when there number one priorty is the freaking customers sitting on their asses for hours to buy a stupid ticket, I mean com'on let's face it, when you are as big as Emirates, the least thing you want is bitching customers...train your people properly and MAKE SURE that they'r providing I don't want to say "excellent" but decent services to those who keeping you in business "i.e. CUSTOMERS"
so to leave you on a good note, I'll tell you on which airlines I get excellent service at "British Airways, and KLM"
the rest is CRAP absolute no point of being in the city with such crappy service

Update time everyone!!!
well, I had an ok weekend, nothing too special, but what I am about to share with you was the highlight of my weekend.
I've been wanting to take my car to car wash station we call it here in Libya "lavadjo"...lol not sure if I spelled it right nor about the orgins of da word, I am thinking "Italian" as almost everything else in da Libyan slang....so anywayz, I had no one to pick me up, my cuz had to go to school, my friend Ayosh was out and about not in my area! so I decided to hang out at da lavadjo......trust me it was very inspiring and made me appreciate what I do in life; I also enjoyed watching different people and what their habits are like.
so this place is run by a Libyan of course and he had maybe 5 Africans working for him from what I saw one assigned for each job, vacuuming, cleaning the interior, washing da car from da outside, and da last touches to make it shiny....so yah, my African friends were having fun listening to Africano music and singing along, I thought it was hilarious...lol so I took few pics to share with you...

I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or feel sad of how low safety is in our be loved country. Couple of days ago I was on the high way with my sister Dodo to go pick up Meral; and we drove by couple of big tanta "trucks" and god knows what's piled up on em, mafhamtish whether it's what was remaining of a destroyed building or crap for recycle! anywayz, bottom line the way of transporting it was not safe at all!!! metal wires were hanging from the side of the big truck and it was only covered with a piece of green cloth "see through cloth"; I was surprised why my sister was screaming..lol did I get used to seeing such things, I mean I notice that it's not safe but that's the way they handle it!!! But what really made me go WTF is the below pics! one truck in da front of another of this funky looking truck....the funny looking truck was eating up the road and spitting it at da other truck....BOTH OF THEM WERE MOVING and cars passing through da gap...lol Ayosh and myself took the below pics on our way to da gym!!!

I keep telling myself I am NOT supposed to be gaining weight...lol but eating 4 times a day is not gonna help...started off my day by having coffee and waffles with Maple syrup MMM'MMM....lol and I know that I was invited for lunch with my auntie by her friend...so we went to Mandarin, it's an open buffet restaurant Chinese/Canadian/ international food....lol it's so funny the mix I mean! I haven't been to it for ages and obviously they made alot of changes ...

I totally see the above on da newspaper in the new future, if he stays on his own any longer I swear something bad will happen!!! I just don't get it! he says he doesn't have time to clean! that's one lousy excuse! I am sure he does, ok I understand he goes to school and have a part time job but still!!!! anywayz, I got to our house in Ontario on Sunday evening around 7 pm, and I was very very tired couldn't even look around me "I had the worst of trips" and I thought getting home will make me forget about the yucky trip, but I guess not! it made it worse, so Monday morning I woke up with one thing in mind "CLEAN" started cleaning up at 6 am till around 11nish or so, showered and my friend came to pick me up so I can hit da mall, hehehe I get to da mall feeling all tired, I wasn't excited about the mall for the first time in my life, I was more nausea so I decided to grab a sub and started looking at stores then I couldn't take it anymore Dinoo my friend was trying so hard to make me feel better then finally I asked her if we could go back to her house, I hung around with her for couple of hours tried to sleep but I couldn't....my auntie picked me up from her place to my place I went to bed, 5 hours later I threw up...lol nasty nasty nasty, I hate my life...lol I woke up at 5 am this morning, and it's 6:20 now...lol I want to have fun, see my friends, eat out, go shopping, do all da fun stuff but I just can't....lol I mean I didn't come all da way here to get sick...lol akhhh ya rabbi, well, Saturday I go to NY for 14 days to my sis Dodo...lol haram she is so busy with school so I'll be distracting her a bit, but hey Dinoo is coming with me too, so that's cool....

Ok, I guess it doesn’t get more official than this?! I mean eventhough I don’t have a ring on my finger; but it is official, right? Well whatever, it’s all naseeb…but com’on I have a date for da wedding? Da hall is booked! And da entire family is planning to be here on Aug 4th!!!!! Ok I am kinda freaking out; I mean am I really ready to get married? Am I mature enough for that? Am I ladylike enough? Wallahi I have 101 questions in my head but no answers....my cousin keeps asking me “are you ready” I say “inshallah”…lol and ready means mentally! I believe I am more than ready to be da lady of my house taking care of my husband and whatever comes with the responsibility! But the part I am struggling with is becoming a mature wife than a fun girl! That’s what freaking me out…….girls at work ask me whether I started buying stuff “btat” like you know, girlz need new wardrobe and crap like that! The answer is NO I didn’t’, simply because I can’t change da way my brain works “still” I am still looking at casual cloths…last week I bought Nike sweat pants!! And over da weekend I was looking for running shoes!! OK! Da beautiful part, my fiancée is more like me! Very casual person, doesn’t like da fancy shmancy stuff…so anywayz! Inshallah rabe ester and I don’t freak out more.
Preparation wise; my main issue now is getting the wedding gown out of da way! I only been to two stores here in Tripoli and I freaked out! Too many choices mainly not my style and way too poofed for me! I mean they say it’s a wedding dress has to be poofed! but poofed and ugly.. dunno not my cup of tea! So, now I am thinking of custom making it, there are few places here that master khyata for wedding gowns, so inshallah, so that’s my next stop! After that; we’ll be working on da decoration of da hall, food “maysoon and mom” already after that. Also, maysoon has gazillion ideas of what to do next, and half da time I am not listening because I am dead tired from work…I just wanna go home and sleep…so taking a week of might be a good idea after all… guyz and gurlz include me in ur prayers and inshallah da whole thing etsahel and I don’t end up a bridzilla!!!!

I sooo wanted to post these pictures up over da weekend put I didnt have da phone wire to hook it up to my pc cuz I normally leave it at work! anyhoo, 7asal khair....Thursday I was picked up from work by my crazy Cuz and her girlfriends; apparently they were out and about since da morning, shopping and god knows what else! so when I called my cuz to come pick me up she says I'll come get you under one condition "don't say you wanna go home, and you'll tag along with us wherever we go"; I was left with no choice, so I agreed...lol "first stop was FIRST for me..lol never been to that place before I only drove by it; and here I took some pics....it's da lake by da saraya el7amra off the Shatt road; was windy as hell and I was SICK!!! yet they dragged me..lol I couldn't say NO ....

I was surprised to see people fishing..lol I mean com'on it's not da best place to fish in da city...

I wonder if he really eats da fish or feeds it to da cats!!!!

My cuz and her girlfriends were telling me to stop taking pic's of him cuz he might throw me in da lake if he finds out!!! I was actually a bit sneaky and he never caught me hehe

then from there I was getting hungry and very cold so I politely asked my cuz to take me to my fav Turkish place in Dahra, for a pick up mmmm'mmmm best chicken tawouk, and from there we hit Jraba street shopping, first store I walked in I was like "I need to wash my hands" cuz da freak forgot to put a fork in my order so I had to use my god given fork...lol not very nice!

we shopped for a bit, didn't buy anything for myself but of course my cuz made me pay for the 2 hejabs she bought; "total abuse" no haram she paid me back; then finally we got home around Mghrib...

I wasn't feeling well on Friday and Saturday so I didn't do much

but today I am feeling better wa alhamduliallah ... I am so gonna get fired if I don't stop blogging and go do some work...so have a great week everyone and be safe....

Finally I got my cellphone Camera working again! I think I have way too many pics there and da memory ran out! anyhoo, I walk in to work this morning and I found these beautiful flowers on my desk! da visa and travel gurl got flowers too, so I read da card and it says "To: DaMoon, Thank you for all your help" I was thinking awww, how sweet...well, we get way too many visitors here at work from all over, Houston, Norway, Doha, London, ... and 3/4 of them bring "us GURLZ" all da goodies..lol most of da time chocolate, and then we decide who we share it with, and da guys complain about how come they don't get anything and start coming up with crazy ideas like " I am going to start wearing a scarf" anyhoo; I'll leave u with da pics

Almost half way through da weekend, and WAT A WEEKEND, I had to practice "da housewife" role......YEP, it has been a while since I've done it, cleaning, cooking, laundry, hanging cloths, folding cloths, vacuuming, dusting, washing endless dishes....yep all dat and much much more, well as you probably don't know I live with my auntie and her husband and daughter, "they sold their house a while ago and moved to this apartment of ours" while my mom and dad live in our house in diff area! I know I am supposed to move with my parents but I am so used to this place cuz this is where I used to stay above da granies! long complicated story! and no one will understand it..lol so I'll save you da confusion....SOOO YAAH my auntie used to have a maid, but the maid now is gone, my auntie got a bit sick; so now my cousin and myself stuck with da house work which is kinda alright........yesterday, we did alot of cleaning and then had to cook lunch, I don't mind cooking at all; it's alot of fun, humm I made soup "3adas and batata", pasta, we had chicken left over and my cuz fried French fries, and yah yummmy I made sorta smoothy "Strawberry, Kiwi and fresh mints" mmmmmmm ehabelll, so yah it was kinda fun and a bit tyring of course...today my untie came back from the clinic, so I went out grocery shopping for da house, and of course my grandma decided to make makrona belbusla mmmm I love makrona belbusla....I've done more cleaning today and fixing things around da house, and ugh! I had to recharge my ADSL freaking hell I thought I did it for 2 months but I guess not! those guyz better not ripping me off...lol da weather is absolutely gorgeous outside..... I wish I could picnic somewhere.....with my fiance.....he just called me and made me listen to "our song" hehehe "I can see us holding hands walking on da beach our toes in da sand, I can see us in da country side sitting on da grass side by side" ...by Justine Timberlake ...my love so don't give away my love...
well, I just felt like chatting to ya'll I don't have much to say so I thought of sharing with you my eventful weekend, da one down side of the housewife weekend is having rough hands and broken nails....lol

Dodo is my family success story; she is da smartest, growing up I alwayz had hard time from my teachers "her teachers as well" cuz she is 2 yrs older than me, and one yr older than MaySoon; so going to da same school teachers used to yell at me when I get a real bad mark and say "why rn't u as good as ur sisters" dodo is smarter than Maysoon..lol so they refered to her most of da time I would simply answer them by saying I am not her..lol I've alwayz been proud of her and tell her success stories all da time "fortasa tetbaha be sh3ar ukhtha"..lol so now mashallah she is doing her Ph.D in Pathology and Immunology in da states and she is turning 28.... also she is not da nerdy time, she has da best sense of humour; yallah come back we all miss you here and wish you were here so we can happy a big party for you hehehe cuz u r da spoiled kid of da family ;o)

Ok, let me start by saying, "is there an ideal age difference between husbands and wives?" ok in my opinion 5 to 10 is a reasonable number, and yes there are exceptions, like the wife is a year older, the husband is one year older, they'r ndad, the husband is double the age and they'r living happy life. I also understand that age is just a number it shouldn't set the fact that "any couple" are happy or not. so help me out to understand whether it's ok or not for let's say a guy 43 years old wanting to marry a girl 25 years old....what's the girls' reaction should be? what's the guy's expectations? or it's personal differences and preferences? or as long as they are metfahmeen age gap means nothing?

not so healthy week

I am sitting here rerunning the week in my mind...to tell you the truth, I didn't like it that much, it was more of a stressful week than anything else. visited different doctors for different issues! I've always viewed myself as healthy person Alhamduliallah...but last week wasn't very healthy week for me. I've been dealing with my tooth problem it's a root problem of course that's why it's taking forever to be treated! lucky to find the new dentist as Maysoon said...the other thing is experiencing back pain, it's not the muscle so it was new to me, I went to the company doctor she said it was in my lower fagarat because of too much sitting down at work! but com'on that shouldn't be the reason for couple of reasons a) I am not the sit still type of person I am always in the move; b) we have very comfortable chairs at work, and I mean it when I say very comfortable bought at a very high price...so the doctor sent me to get X-ray taken at the Swiss Center...few negative comments. I enter the reception area and told them what my problem was and said I need to get X-ray taken, the lady sent me downstairs; I asked if I needed to pay she said no you can do that downstairs, I go downstairs, the Libyan chap asked what I was in for told him X-ray for the lower back he said I need to go back upstairs to pay and get him a paper....I was pissed!!!....I was like I am sorry but the receptionist said I could pay here! he said no...I snapped at him..lol telling him how helpful he was by making me go up and down the stairs when I am in pain and can hardly walk! he said take the elevator! I am like I don't have time to stand there and wait for it for ages! because I had to rush to my dentist appointment that was 20 minutes away! anywayz I am getting upset just thinking about it so enough about the back pain problem.....I also had to go for ultra sound twice in 2 weeks...lol ultra sound problem is gone alhamduliallah....back pain still there a little bit...by the way, I never got a report on the X-ray! the doctor is on vacation, so I had to take it to the company doctor who's a general practitioner and can not give me a report on it so here I am with no feedback....needless to say, I was happy when the weekend came, got all the sleep I needed, got a new PC, my lovely fiance picked it up for me; but the only problem we are having with it is installing the ADSL on it, MaySoon tried to do it but didn't work; so I am waiting for the IT to do it for me because as you might not know I am very clueless when it comes to technology, I believe there are people for that I believe there is someone for each task ,for example if something breaks down and you "think" you can fix it yourself, DO NOT fix it; get someone that KNOWS how to fix it to do it for you!....so I didn't do much this weekend stayed in doors all the time; it's very rainy outside; the only fun thing I did today is making 3addas soup very easy and helped with the lasagna, gosh I miss cooking, I love cooking and eating my own food...lol which is weird most girls I know don't eat their food after they cook egolo m3ash tjihm neiya fe el makla....I am the opposite, I ll be the first to start and of course I never forget to say MMMM YUMMY.... Damn, Am I good or wat...lol

ok let me start by saying Welcome back DSL!!! my dsl at home wasn't working for the longest time! to phone lines issues I don't want to get carried with the story cuz it's so cheesy! anyhoo alhamduliallah it's working again now....so here I am blogging from home, to be more specific from my room to be a bit more specific sitting on my bed :o) it's a good feeling...Friday morning ah! I love Friday mornings cuz I get to sleep in then eat good breakfast...today the weather is BEAUTIFUL I have the window wide open on my right hand side and all I can see is a palm tree, it's a very old one, da only tree in this land and yes it's an empty land up for sale no one is wanting to buy it cuz the price is ridiculous, I am actually happy cuz I don't want another building right next to our house....the other thing I can see is the Russian flag, I live next to the Russian ambassador's house, hehe why I think it's funny! ok many reasons, I think they have me and all the neighbours on their system, you know like those movies they probably have weird names for us and i think they've done a background check on each one, so once they enter that nick name a small window will pop up with all the info and a pic...hehehe just like in da movies! so I would be the chick driving da black car! anyhoo, I think that would be totally cool....I get weird thoughts all the time...it's just me!
I wish I was to do something different today, but doesn't seem like it, we have the family over for lunch so, meh! I am looking forward the kosksi...
When I am not at work I feel as if something is missing, like an emptiness, like I should be getting busy, or what should I do next, or whatever...I am going crazy I should enjoy my weekend, and YES I still need a vacation, I still need to go somewhere, I want to go to Cairo, been there last March, totally loved it....sigh

One of my biggest issues is OVER STUFFING MYSELF, oh gosh, I am experiencing the worst of pain now, I just ate sooooooo much, ok I understand that I am hungry all the time but why do I eat this much when I know I’ll be in pain? I don’t get it…ok my food intake during the day
Morning: 8:15 Coffee with cookies or halawiyat
Around 10:30 I get realllyyy hungry, I eat crackers
Lunch: 12:30 Whatever Yoyo has made for the day, today I had spagatti with ground beef and mushroom, too fatty, salad, pizza “my fiancé got me” it’s one of those squared ones, quarter can of bitter soda, leema keeniya, and leema dammiya!!!!! I can hardly breath, I tried to go for a walk downstairs but nope I am still in pain
2:30 green tea with fresh mints I look forward to that moment everyday; oh did I mention chocolate normally after lunch just no one has chocolate today, cuz I normally beg for chocolate
6:00 I eat dinner whatever da family cooked for lunch
If I stay up passed 10:30 I get hungry and I make toast with cheese, never get board of it

And Yes I have iron deficiency which makes me sleepy all the time so when the weekend is here I take looong naps.
Also I hardly drink water which is causing me a lot of trouble laken I just don’t like it…I like to add zharr or 3atrr to make the weird taste of water go away! Call me crazy but I think water has a funny taste and that’s the normal bottled water! I tried different brands and I still don’t like it!

I just want to share with the entire world how happy I am, how happy having someone this special in my life who loves me this much, appreciates me and treats me right... my fiancee ... to tell you the truth; I've alwayz had problems with the word "love" whether there is true love or not and up to day I don't believe in "Romeo and Juliet love", what I believe in is loving someone means understanding, appreciating, accepting differences, working together to become better people, making mistakes and learning, being your complete self with your soulmate, and connecting in a different level. so in my case alhamduliallah meeting my fiancee made me fully experience the above feelings. I guess it all comes down to one thing, "soulmates" completing one another.

I’ve never seen mbakbka having identity crisis until today!

A month a go we changed our lunch plan here at work, we improved from burgers, pizza, chicken tabona gross street food, to the company “cook” staying in the guest house, making us fresh food... “soup and salad” day and “sandwiches and salad” second day…and we’ve gone from sandwiches to lasagna to spagattie to meat and fries pie too BELIEVE IT OR NOT “Mbakbka”…lol I totally cracked up laughing today when I saw da so –mbakbka-wanna-be!! Ok for a start it was not jariya at all so by my standards that’s not mbakbka, so the poor mbkbka was more like makrona salsa mkhalta fe ba3dha with tiny tiny very tiny beef cubes I just don’t know how he cut it that tiny, and same size for potato, wallahi how tiny they are they made the chickpeas “homos” look HUGE…so the above was only by looking at it, then when I tried the first mouth full, I couldn’t distinguish the taste, hiki bantha grfa “cinnamon” walla 7rarat you know the stuff you sprinkle over reshtet kskas so it tasted more like reshtet ksaks than mbakbka and it also tasted like Indian/Philippino food….oh did I mention that the cook Yoyo, that’s his name is Philippino..so what he does best is Asian food, chicken noodles soup, Asian salads,so my advise to Yoyo to stick to those dishes and stay away from making Libyan soup, he made it twice, and I couldn’t eat it from how fatty it was, I thought it was made with chicken but when the white piece flipped over it was a gross surprise YUCK “hasha ena3ma” it was actually la7ma ya3ni lamb laken white from how much fat it has on it :( yuck yuck yuckkkk….anywayz, I am very greatful of our lunch plan alhamduliallah, the only thing we need to do is sit down with Yoyo and give him guidance for better future lunches :)

that's what I need, one week vacation, and in that week, I either tour Libya, not a big tour, maybe Ghdames and other tourist sites, or Cairo, or Dubai, or Oman, I REALLY want to go to Oman for some reason...I don't care any Arab country, and I want to take two people with me, my cousin Abeer and my friend Aya. THAT'S IT, having fun, sleeping in, shopping, eating yummy food...is this impossible? sigh!

I happen to be Ms Messy...at home, my room is messy 3/4 of the time, I just can't manage to hang my cloths or fold the clean ones, I do my laundry on time so it doesn't pile up; however, I have hard time folding it back to place! my mom yells at me all the time....AT WORK I tend to drag the bad habits to my workplace; my desk is a mess papers everywhere "I never lose anything" but it takes me a while finding things! my boss says I have an extreme personality; I either have very good set of skills which is "networking" Public relations, or I am very bad when it comes to filing. We have new receptionist now; his name is Ibrahim and he is the most organized person I've ever come across bless his heart, he took over my desk and MASHALLAH he made me sit down with him and go over my stuff, ended up throwing 3/4 of the crap I had laying around...yes I am a pack rat :(
to name few things sitting on my desk now and after that I need as many tips as possible to be a better, more organized, smarter, more efficient assistant!
papers or course, one business card, my watch, my lip palm, my cellphone, kitchen napkins! I guess it got here when they got me an orange yesterday, nails file "I don't do it in public so don't panic" more papers that not arranged neatly at all, calculator, 2 pens, a DVD, coffee coaster that I hardly use, of course desk calendar, sand bottle with the company name on it, that I am afraid to knock out, Meral's picture of course; she is my angle whenever I am pissed I look in her dark beautiful eyes to feel better...anywayz, SOS!
